Few artists have enjoyed as much success following their departure from a group as Justin Timberlake has. In the 1990's Timberlake became an international star with boy band NSYNC, seeing huge success with hit singles like "Bye Bye Bye", "This I Promise You" and "It's Gonna Be Me". Even though NSYNC became the third-best selling boy band in history, Timberlake pursued a career as a solo artist, breaking through with debut album Justified. His 2002 debut contained hit singles "Like I Love You", "Cry Me a River", "Señorita" and "Rock Your Body", a track originally penned for Michael Jackson. The latter two charted inside the top five on both sides of the Atlantic. Four years later, Justin released FutureSex/LoveSounds, and scored three Grammy Award-winning US No. 1 singles with "SexyBack", "My Love" and "What Goes Around...Comes Around". After a six-year hiatus from his music career--during which time he focussed on his acting career, appearing in The Social Network, Friends with Benefits and Inside Llewyn Davis among others--Timberlake returned with the critically acclaimed The 20/20 Experience. He would combine his acting and music careers in 2016, when he leant his voice to the animated movie Trolls, and performed the Oscar and Golden Globe-nominated "Can't Stop the Feeling".
