Since their formation in 1996, Queens of the Stone Age have cemented themselves as one of rock's most unique, inventive and heaviest bands. With former Kyuss drummer Josh Homme at the helm. Queens of the Stone Age have always employed a collective-style approach that has allowed for the input of a vast score of musicians and collaborators. Throughout their two decade-long existence, the likes of Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters), Mark Lanegan and Nick Olivieri have counted themselves members, while Elton John, Alex Turner (Arctic Monkeys), Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails) and more have contributed towards recordings.
The group broke through with the critically acclaimed Rated R in 2000, but their popularity would reach new heights with the arrival of Dave Grohl and the release of 2002's Songs For The Deaf. The album reached No. 4 on the UK charts and number 17 on the US Billboard Top 200, and tracks like ""No One Knows"" and ""Go With The Flow"" would become modern hard rock classics. Subsequent albums--2005's Lullabies To Paralyze, 2007's Era Vulgaris and 2013's ...Like Clockwork have all seen similar levels of critical acclaim and commercial success. Queens of the Stone Age have a long-established reputation as a superlative live act, and they have headlined festivals around the world, and performed at festivals like Glastonbury, Coachella, Reading & Leeds and Download.
